Download/Download manager ?

Hopefully an easy ? for you, Im new to Mac. IS there a "download" status viewer where you can see the progress of a particular download. "x% completed" I have low bandwidth at work and if something is really dragging, I would want to kill the download etc etc

If you're using Safari, click Window > Downloads or Option+Command+L
