Accentify:
Colors your entire iOS to make App headers a different color than stock, costs $0.99.

Emphasize:
Colors your entire iOS OR just individual apps' headers a different color than stock, costs nothing, and available here: http://rpetri.ch/repo

EDIT:

I should mention that there is usually developer/customer support with paid tweaks, whereas this is usually not the case with free tweaks. Paid tweaks may also be updated to support future iOS versions.

So is emphasize a good tweak? Any screen shots or reviews available? I looked on YouTube and nothing up yet.
 
Ryan Petrich is one of the best developers. He gave us so many good & free tweaks !
I am going to buy a tweak from him even if I don't use it just to support him.

Care to elaborate? From my limited experience (6.x is my first time jailbreaking), Ryan's tweaks have been some of the most simple yet functional, and stable ones that I've come across. I'm wondering what you've had trouble with.

I wouldn't call it ripping the guy off, just because he used the same color names. The idea of themeing the app headers/footers has been around since almost the time of the first jailbreak. Individual themes have done this regularly via Winterboard, this is just one of the first tweaks that gave the user control over doing it without a theme. However Accentify is a paid tweak, and not everyone has the money/ability to pay for tweaks. Secondly, Emphasize is a better tweak (does not require respring to take effect, has options to change the color per app instead of just for the whole iOS, and also comes to us from a very well known developer- the same one that brought us Activator, one of the most useful jailbreaking tweaks ever). For me, that's enough for me to go with Emphasize rather than paying the 99cents for Accentify, even if Emphasize happens to come out right after Accentify.

Another myth propagated by people trying to rationalize piracy. People who can afford an iPhone and a monthly data plan, can afford tweaks.

Every bit of that is simply justification for the same thing that other devs would be criticized for.

That's not always true. I was laid off in February and my boyfriend was laid off in March. I was fortunate enough to find a job, But until I get my first paycheck, ALL of our money is going towards bills and gas so that I can get back and forth to work. Free alternatives are nice for people that hit rough patches in their life.

EDIT:

I have notice a bug on Emphasize, example i have choose the Red color and when i open the message show a the native color and them with chance the Red color. Kind a annoying.

Just curious.

So are you saying that everyone who jailbreaks does it to pirate apps or is classified as a pirate?

Or are you saying that all jailbreak tweaks/apps should be paid and not free?

Sure... I remember being on ModMyI a few years ago and people laughing at me because they thought no one would ever pay for themes and tweaks. Guess what? The majority of tweaks are now paid, and so are the best themes.

But you know what? Apple makes such a big deal about piracy, but the biggest issue is tweak piracy. And heck, I'll admit to it to doing it.

Why?

We're at the point when jailbreaks are going to be less common in a few years. A4 devices have it good, but they're easily going to lose iOS8 or even 7 support. So people are going to have to move on to devices which have no known exploits in the hardware itself.

Our blobs for 6.1 don't work. So if you happen to have an issue that requires a restore, you lose your jailbreak and your tweaks until the next one. This could be months or even a year.

These developers have a bad habit of not updating, and as you can see, tweaks like Quasar had to be modified heavily to work on iOS 6, and it's still not ready and we're about to reach the end cycle of this version of iOS.

The jailbreak isn't even stable enough, a lot of people are having issues with it.

I have spent at least $100 on tweaks since iPhone 2G. My iPhone 4 had video support, so I didn't need that tweak anymore, and pretty much every other tweak I bought was combined into Springtomize 2. Themes are only good for the duration of one iOS update, besides Jaku, because Apple always changes things around and new apps come out every week and make old ones redundant.

You're just throwing money down the drain at this point. Because you all know that the moment iOS 7 is announced, you're all going to restore your devices as new to go check out the developer preview. :rolleyes:

This has nothing to do with piracy. You're overlooking just how many different kinds of people have iDevices in the world. A lot of them do not have credit cards or pay pal accounts or amazon checkout, and still, I'm not endorsing piracy even in those scenarios, my point is that Emphasize is free, Accentify is not.

I'm just telling it like it is. I've never been a piracy advocate. People on this forum think they're doing something heroic by pointing fingers at anyone who even mentions a piracy repo or says they "tried," a tweak before buying it or apparently now, even if someone says that some people can't buy tweaks in the world. That doesn't do anything except annoy fourm users and clutter the threads. If you really want to do be an anti-piracy advocate, track down people like Fabius. Ever occur to anyone here to speak to people who crack the apps/tweaks in the first place? There's only a handful of them vs the thousands of pirates you'll meet.

You'll note that my original post refers to iDevices, not just iPhones. Aside from that, I know plenty of people who have received iPhones or iTouches or iPads etc as gifts. I don't really see your point anyway, since I never mentioned anything about piracy in the first place and you assumed that my post was rationalization for it anyway. Emphasize is a free tweak to begin with. No one has said anything here about pirating its paid counterpart version, Accentify.
