Download Files For Samsung Gusto 3

Setting up my MacBook Pro to move files to my Samsung Gusto 3 cell phone, I am told files must be sent to the Gusto from Mac to synchronize the file transfer.
Where can I locate these files ? I was told by Verizon, Mac should recognize the Gusto and send the files. I have been waiting several hours with the USB connection between them, so far, nothing.

Quite a bit of information there.

Without the right software, just connecting them via USB will do nothing. This is really a Samsung Forum question
