Download Folder

I am new to this forum and am not sure if I'm posting this in the right area but I just did an update on my macbook pro a few weeks ago and now when I download something it goes into the download folder alphabetically rather then by most recent. Is there a way to change it back?

Sort by "Date Modified" instead of "Name" by clicking on the respective column.

What about setting it permanently in download folder on the doc?

What about setting it permanently in download folder on the doc? It just bugs me to open it every time. I know its prolly dumb but I use it alot.

Right click on the Downloads folder icon in the Dock and select the proper sorting format.
