so im trying to get videos off youtube for a project im doing. and every program i use gets the video, minus sound. which is pointless. ive tried desktube and tvtube. does anyone know of any other free programs like this? or if this audio problem is just on my computer?

If you are using Safari, just open the Activity window (Window--> Activity) and then look for the largest file. That will be the actual YouTube video. Double-click it and it will download. Then convert to an format you can edit (like DV).
The advantage of the plugin in

is that you don't need to bother about searching/remembering each file you downloaded from YouTube (especially because most videos on YouTube are split in several parts, and looking after them and reorganizing them later is cumbersome).
