I have a macbook OSX, and whenever I try and download an application, my computer asks me if I'm sure I want to download an application, I click download, and then it immediately shows that I've downloaded what looks like a blank sheet of paper. It obviously hasn't downloaded anything, and when I click on it, it says that there is no specified application to open the file with. Wtf??

Just to start with the most basic: are you sure you are downloading a Mac program / version? If so, can you give us an example of what didn't work for you?

Oh, right. I have a 10.4 and dvd capture (what I was trying to get) is only supported for 10.3. I think. I guess I have to buy shareware instead of downloading the free one. thanks for responding so quickly!
