Download iWork 08?

Stupid question I'm sure, but if I buy iWork 08 from Apple's online (education) store will they let me know what my serial number is via the internet (be it email, web browser, etc) so I can activate the trial?

Or can the trial even be activated? I'm still waiting for it to finish downloading (stupid school internet is going really slow tonight for some reason).

I just don't want to have to wait around for the silly package to show up if all I really need from it is a serial number.

Excellent. And if I went onto the online Apple store right now, and bought it would they tell me what my serial number is? Or is it somewhere on the packaging where I would have to wait for the actual package to arrive?
