Download links WTF?!?

Can anyone help me here so i'm not going insane!

Some download links on the internet are re-direct links ie you can't right click to save link as (such as on the apple site for itunes 10.1) for some reason on both safari and firefox with these links it just loads the page and no download dialog box opens, i've disabled pop up blockers on both but it still seems not to work, what am i doing wrong? I know i could use software updates but i want to re-install the programs so that won't work

Any help guys please! i hate having to search for hours to find a mirror link

i don't know where you're going to download itunes but if you go to this page:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/

..and click the download link, it takes you to this page:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

which has another button saying download now.. click that one and the itunes dmg will download..

is that what you're trying and it's not working for you?

That's the page exactly, im not getting the download dialogue after clicking download, it just opens the thanks for downloading page and a swdlp.apple.com address is in the address bar, it scrolls but never loads a download box

hmm. sorry.
don't know what to tell you then because i can download that using safari,chrome, and firefox.
