Whenever I use nzbdrop to download large files, my late 2008 MBP fans go nuts (4500rpm or more). As soon as the donwload is finished, they ramp down again. I find this very strange, it's not that downloading is that taxing on the cpu is it (temp is around 80°C).

Any help?

I have never experienced increased heat/fan rotation while downloading at any size. Do you find that the fan spins up any other time? Perhaps you have a website in the back running flash content? Try resetting the SMC and see if that helps.
