get the application called "youtube video grabber"I'm look for a free app that will download youtude video or any other flash video. I know I can do this with safari but looking for another option.
how do u do this through safari?
If you were prepared to use firefox...then you could use a great little extention called download helper
http://www.downloadhelper.net/
As for conversion, I've still yet to find anything I really really like...
Most videos (that I've downloaded) have MP4 versions, whether 320*xxx or 480*xxx. Although Keepvid has the MP4 option, I use this bookmark for quick and easy downloading.you can also go to a website like www.downloadyoutubevideos.com or www.keepvid.com
just google 'download youtube videos', and you should get plenty of links.
they download the videos as a .flv, and then download iSquint to convert them.
but if youre looking for a single application then just ignore this and look at the posts above.
Guys, the easiest way to download YouTube vids without ANY third party software is this:
In Safari, click on 'Window' and select 'Activity'.
Click on the triangle next to the URL of the YouTube you want to download.
Navigate towards the bottom of the list, there will be a file that is obviously larger than the rest (as in most will be several KB, this one will be in MBs)
Double click on the large file and your video will start downloading.

Make a bookmark with this as the URL:
javascript:window.location.href%20=%20'http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id='%20+%20swfArgs['video_id']%20+%20"&l="%20+%20swfArgs['l']%20+%20"&sk="%20+%20swfArgs['sk']%20+%20'&t='%20+%20swfArgs['t'];
Then put that bookmark in the bookmark bar. Click it when your watching a movie on YouTube and it will download it!
Where does it save it?
Anyone know of any good software that lets you download videos to your computer from youtube?
