Downloaded a game but it doesn't install?

I downloaded Back to the Future from Telltale games and it came in the form of a zip file. After unzipping it, the game launcher is in my Downloads folder. I've played for a few hours and have a few saved games.

Do games not fully install in OS X? Do they only launch from the program file? And where are my saved games at?

Drag the .app to the applications folder.

Right.

Furthermore OP, even after you move the app to the applications folder you wont lose your saved game.

Thanks guys. I found the game saves in that very folder.

I guess since this isn't a complicated game, it just launches from the file and doesn't install. So I guess another question is, what happens if you drag a file that isn't supposed to normally install into the Applications folder?

Nothing. It just resides in that folder then.
