iPod touch Downloaded Apps Not Working

My girlfriend finally got her iPod Touch updated to 2.0. She got home from my house and synced her downloaded apps, but said that whenever she clicks them on the home screen, it opens, and then goes back to the home screen.

Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have a suggestion?

Unfortunately she is not over anymore and has gone to bed, so I don't have her to ask questions or her iPod and MacBook to actually see the problem.

Sync it with iTunes again. It should backup the iPod (beware this takes a while, or at least it did for me). If not, I don't know what to do.

Thanks guys! She actually just texted me and said she got them working. Low and behold, she did exactly what she was supposed to do, delete them and re-sync.

Guess she doesn't need my help after all... don't tell her that though!

Thanks, it worked for me too. I had purchased 2 apps prior to getting the 2.0 firmware and neither of those synced, despite the free ones syncing fine. I just deleted them and downloaded them via the Touch and got them for free.
