I run 3-4 times per week, ramping it up ahead of the London Marathon in April. I use my AW S7 WiFi for Strava tracking and podcasts. Generally-speaking podcasts sync ok to the AW, although not always. However recently I've found that sometimes downloaded podcasts stop playing once I've left the house and then won't restart. The only way I've found to solve is to stop running and power cycle the watch. The podcasts play fine after the restart, but it takes 2-3 minutes, which feels like an eternity stood on the street. It doesn't always happen but is extremely annoying when it does. It doesn't occur with downloaded music which is my backup when pods won't play. Seems to be an issue handing-off from the connection to my iPhone 15 Pro/home Wifi.

Am increasingly tempted by an Ultra 2 ahead of the marathon for the extra battry life and precision GPS, which might also solve the Podcast issue, but I'm not quite ready to part with GBP750+ just yet.

Anyone else hit this issue? Any ideas how to resolve?

Try putting your phone on airplane mode with wifi off and Bluetooth. Play podcast on the watch and start your run. I honestly think it’s something with the phone that causes issues with watch playback. I know not an ideal solution but I blame Apple.
