Ok so I work pretty early in the mornings and I don't really know if the 3.0 update will be live and available for me to download and install through iTunes before I go to work. Now, I bring my laptop in to work on occasion, but we don't have wifi nor do I have a way to connect it online, so my only way to transfer stuff from my work comp to my laptop is by USB drives.
So what I wanna know is, if I can't get the update prior to heading to work, is there a link of some kind for the OS updates that doesn't require iTunes? I don't have iTunes on my work comp and what I wanna do is download the update on my work comp, then use a usb drive to transfer it to my laptop and update it that way, is this possible?
I looked a little on apple.com and the only thing I can find is a software update page for iPhone that just has all the info about 3.0, but no sign of a link to download the updates, such as the current 2.2 one.
