I have a 10.10.4 machine which was acting up.
I rolled back a week using TM, still had issues.
Decided to reinstall OS before reimagine it.
I booted from the recovery partition and selected to reinstall OS. I was asked to verify Apple ID (which was weird).
Now I see a message :
Downloading additional components. Your system will restart automatically.
About 6 more hours...
What is different about this CMP?
I certainly don't want to be in the same boat with no way out with another unit...
