Hie there
trying to install OSX on my C2Duo MacMini and for some reason it's estimated to take 83 hours (and rising).

Is it that Apple's servers are overwhelmed by some new betas being released or is there any other reason ?

I was able to install El Capitan on the iMac several times at 1-2 hours each when I was trying to determine wether it had SW issues or a broken HD. Turned out to be some HW issue deeper inside (my guess is a broken soldr point) and thats why I plan to change the Mini from Linux-only server to main (only actually) OSX computer.

O.k. I found a direct link and can download the pkg-file at 2.3MB/s.

Problem is I have no means to get to start that on the Mini.

The best I have atm is a bunch of PPC-Macs running Leopard, so if anybody knows how to create a bootable USB-stick this way...

Aunt Edith:

Canceled and restarted the install on the Mini and it seems some kicked Apple's server awake.
