I am not having any luck downloading icons from interfaceLift. When I try to install my choice of icons all I get is a pop up window with a series of letter, numbers and other assorted symbols. What am I doing wrong, and how can I solve this problem. Hope I have described my problemo,so I can solve it.

Thanks in advance.

Just had a quick look and it seems that all their icons packages are saved as .ZIP files. Both Windows and Mac sets.

Are you able to save the ZIP files to your Mac or is it your browser throwing up the error?

What ZIP/RAR program do you have installed?

Which package are you trying to download?

:)

I am trying to load some Christmas icons. I have a feeling that it is Safari that might be causing my problems. Thanks I will just try to poke around and see if I can solve this.

It would help if you included a link to the interfacelift page that has the fileset that you are after so we could take a look at what is going on with the download and then hopefully we can give some targeted assistance.

When i try to download it is weird text just like "Im 5ft 8" said. I changed the extension to .zip and then I got the error message.

Ah, that's why. The extension should be changed to .sit rather than .zip (if it isn't already). StuffIt should then be able to open it - that's its own proprietary format. Which I hate, but at least you have StuffIt and don't have to worry about that.

....I feel stupid.

It was opening with wrong the program...:D

Thanks for your super fast help!!!

But it still doesn't answer Im 5ft 8's question.

Well when I downloaded it, it downloaded as a .sit and expanded fine when double clicked on, so I am still not sure what problem the OP is experiencing (unless they don't have Stuffit Expander or anything else to expand .sit files)!
