I was just wondering if there was a way to download directly music from a website to your iPhone/iPad because there is a mixtape I really want to download but my laptop isn't working currently. Is it possible through app form or a different method!? Thanks, :)

You'd need a third part application capable to store your music and reproduce it. To sync your music with your computer you need to use iTunes.

Can you copy them into the IPod section of the phone or do you play the, through the app itself?

I believe you have to play them through the app. If you want to transfer files, according to the app notes, you need to use your computer with iTunes File Sharing.

There are download manager apps

Search downloads in the app store

It lets you download from safari
