Downloading in Transmission

Ok I'm confused. 1. On Transmission can you download full movies and 2. How do you start to download movies in Transmission? I tried by typing the movie in the like bar on the right, but nothing happens. What to do?
Bar on the right? There is no bar on the right...
Transmission is used to download .torrent files. So, if you are say... downloading a linux distro, you can use a torrent to sometimes get it faster.
So, you get the .torrent files, you double click them, transmission opens, and they download.

haha that search bar is to search for files that you are currently leeching/seeding in Transmission. its not like Limewire were you just search for a file within the app… although XTorrent and uTorrent on Windows allows you to search bittorrent trackers within the app itself.
i suggest you take a look at this guide. the Mac OS X section is a bit outdated so just use Transmission.
