iPod Downloading into I-POD MINI

Hope somebody may be able to help me!!!
I have not been able to listen to my music, something very strange is going on, I've been able to sync and download the mp-3 files but once I discconect the cable from the pc I have not been able to find those files in my mini.
Can anybody help me?

Do you have the latest version of iTunes? If you look on here you'll find that people are haveing some problems with it...

Have you tried the iPod's 5 Rs of troubleshooting?

for interests sake, how are you syncing the songs? You can only do it through iTunes, you can't just drag the songs onto your iPod in Finder/Windows Explorer.

Also, did you acquire the tracks from a legitimate source? for example, did you rip them off a CD or download them from a P2P network? Sometimes, tracks downloaded from P2P are corrupt, and they don't play properly.
