iPod touch Downloading iOS 4.2...

I want to download iOS 4.2 for my iPod Touch 4th gen. It's 600mb, but my daily data cap is 300mb. This would be alright but usually on iTunes when you download something you can pause it and come back to it the next day, but with this update you can only stop it, which sets it back to zeromb/downloaded. Can I download it through a browser so that you can pause it?
