Downloading Movie from iPhone 6 Plus iTunes

So when I download a movie from within the iPhone the movie file it downloads is a 720p quality. Why is that? I want it to be 1080p quality. I have the choice in my iTunes selected to only 1080p, am I missing a setting to have it download through my phone to 1080p?
