Downloading movies from Itunes on to iphone

I am wondering if I purchase a movie on itunes, can I then sync it with my iphone so I can play it on the iphone?

Yes, I have done it in the past, but the were not HD movies. I don't know if it makes a difference or not.

You sure can. I d/l'd Full Metal Jacket via iTunes, then synced it over to my iPhone so I could watch it on a trans-Pacific flight.

Worked great. I recommend you take a set of ear buds with you.

The iPhone is not able to play HD movies and because of this, when you buy an HD movie, you get two versions: SD copy and the HD copy. Only the SD copy can sync to the iPhone.
