Downloading Mpeg To Macosx

I'm new to all this. I have found a mpeg on the internet and I'd like to copy it (or them) into Toast7 and burn a disc. However, copying the mpeg to the desktop gives me a file of zero size, although it'll play from the internet site.
Any ideas ? Please.

Which browser are you using? If you use firefox, you can go TOOLS > PAGE INFO > MEDIA and then somewhere down the list there should be a video file. It's easier to spot if if you look for a file type EMBED (just to the right of the file name). Highlight the video, and click SAVE AS, save to the desktop. It's ALWAYS worked for me!

Sorry, don't have firefox, only safari and can't see anything that looks similar to what you descibe.
Any more ideas ?
