Hi,

have been trying to download some mps from my yahoo account onto my itunes using my mac book. When i did this on my old laptop it would work fine and the song would automatically open in itunes. However, when i try to download the attachment onto my notebook a text window pops up onto the screen with a load of funny writing on it. The file type is: audio/x-ms-wma if that's any help. Have also tried the 'open with itunes' function and that doesnt seem to work either.

Thank you!

this is a windows media audio file so you need to get Flip4Mac's WMV Player to play it in QuickTime Player. TIP: set the file to always open with Flip4Mac to get "WMA" QuickTime icons by option right clicking on it and choosing "Always Open With -> Flip4Mac".

however it wont play in iTunes as you can only play & import MP3, AIFF, WAV, MPEG-4, AAC, and Apple Lossless into iTunes. so youll need to convert it to one of these formats. you can use QuickTime Pro to do this.
