Is there anyway to download music directly to the iPod app like when u buy a song off iTunes app on the iPhone?

I don't believe so because of the way iTunes injects the song into the library. But I am curious also so... BUMP!

Would be handy for say when someone emails you an .mp3 it could be saved directly into the iPod library.

I found d tunes..but it does place in iTunes library.....I don't have a pc and I'm about to ship out so this is annoying.

You might look into Mewseek, I bought it and love it to death, you can sync the music from it to your ipod directly, though the only downside is you have to tell it to resync any time you sync to your computer.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

Gracias....!
