Downloading rentals from iTunes on Apple TV

Anybody having trouble downloading movie rentals from Apple Tv now or recently? Tried twice in the last week and get an error message. Password is good for iTunes and there's no issue on the account. The Apple TV downloads from netflix OK and allows me to stream slideshows from my MacBook Pro and Air - there's no error code just a statement that there was a problem. Anyone got any ideas??
