Downloading

I am not sure if I messed with one of the settings on my blackbook but when I download a program it doesnt show in the download box and I have to search for it in spotlight.

Any idea what I did to cause this or how to alter so the program opens once downloaded

In Preferences, on the Privacy tab, do you have "Remember download history" checked? Also, are you using private browsing?

yes I was using private browsing..disabled that now
