Downloads automatically open on completion

I can not figure out how to stop OSX from launching downloads right after they are finished. Can anyone please help me stop this from happening. It is rather annoying.

WOW..that was fast! Thank you! I thought it was an OSX thing not Safari..I did not think to check that.

If you're using Safari, go to Preferences and uncheck (under the General tab), "Open 'Safe' files after downloading"
