I removed the download folder off the dock accidentaly. I went to user- dragged "download" back to dock (right side) BUT but now when I download anything from mail or internet, it doesn't pop up in that folder. It used to shoooo to the download folder but now it just opens up and when I close this it is not in download folder, please help.

Downloads doesn't go to "download folder in dock"

Right click on the Downloads folder icon in the Dock and select Options > Show in Finder to verify it is the same Downloads folder you actually download to and not another folder.
Via right clicking on it you also get the options to Display as, View content as and Sort by. Maybe check some of those options to get your old behaviour back.

Safari > Preferences > General > "Save downloaded files to:" (click the dropdown menu, click "Other" and browse to your Downloads folder, then click "Select").
