downloads - itunes opens once downloaded, DONT WANT!

If someone knows a way i can stop itunes from playing (and adding to itunes library) everything i download? Once it has finished downloading, itunes automatically opens it!

If i then run it through mixed in key - I am doubling up on files... at the moment i have to search and delete everything and its driving me mad!

I hope someone has an answer!

Make sure "Open Safe Files after downloading" isn't checked in Safari Prefs.
