i havent jailbroken 2.1 (as i just exchanged my old ipod 4 the new one), but i no in the past (2.0,2.0.1, 2.0.2) it just slowed down the boot time and thats it
the iphone is a bit more risky right? last thing i want to do is jack up the phone part or get a brick
