Hello,
I was hoping to get some clarification from current dp4 users:
I tried DP2, ran well. Was installed on my macbook, latest gen, 1 hard drive with 2 partitions, mavericks and Yosemite.
I ran into a well known problem where Yosemite altered the whole disk not just its own partition: Apple SM0512F appeared as only Yosemite and disk util was greyed out, basically to fix that I had to run a bunch of terminal commands to revert it and then I could delete that partition and access the built in recovery partition that comes on your macbook.
this was document all over the internet, including this website: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1741742/
Something to do with upgrading the drive to core storage I believe.
So with dp4, I wondered if that is fixed, more importantly if a catastrophy happens will I be able to access the built in recovery and install mavericks if all else fails.
I know its beta, I'v been a beta tester for years on other platforms but have never actually had an error happen like that above which can be a bit freaky!!
Thanks for your help!
