Hi,

From the DP4 I'm unable to create a USB to perform a clean install.

I usually grab the InstallESD.dmg and put it on a UB stick via Disk Utility...

  1. Right click on "Install Mac OS X Mountain Lion.app" and choose the option to "Show Package Contents".
  2. Inside the Contents folder that appears you will find a SharedSupport folder and inside the SharedSupport folder you will find the "InstallESD.dmg".

For DP1 through to DP3 this worked fine, however in DP4 there doesn't seem to be a SharedSupport folder or InstallESD.dmg in the contents.

Has anyone else found the same? Or has the procedure changed now?

I've upgraded my MBA 2010 to ML D4 (from DP3) with no issues. I want to do a clean install of DP4 my Mac Mini 2010.

Many thanks

How did you acquire ML DP4? I got mine from the Mac App Store and there is definitely an 'InstallESD.dmg' in the usual location within the App Package.
