Hi,

Has anyone installed this App Store program on their macs?

I have tried it and it seems ok. Runs light and fast. I really wondered if anyone has any other observations, e.g. good or bad.

I never would install software like that on my MacBook even if it's sold through the App Store. It often messes up more than it helps.

Was there a specific reason like your Mac getting slower or something? In this case, have you tried Etrecheck before to make out the culprit(s)?

I never know what to make of these kinds of things. Most do not help as much as they hurt, but I was somehow led to Dr. Safety just a few weeks ago. I very rarely run virus or malware software, and each time I've used them, I eventually did away with them.

Last week I was installing an app that I downloaded off the internet when Dr. Safety reported the file was infected, and then automatically deleted it. I don't know if the file was actually infected, but I do know that it deleted the file so I couldn't check it out with other utilities, and I wish I could have done that. Aside from the one find, it hasn't reported other issues, so maybe it actually does what it is supposed to do. The company has a very good reputation when it comes to security software, so maybe they know what they are doing. The app doesn't seem to get in the way of anything else.
