I presently use something called Android File Transfer.app to move files, mostly films and pdf's, from my iMac to my Samsung Tab 3 Lite (which in Asia is both a tablet and phone.) I find myself frustrated by the frequent failure of the app to recognize the phone and "cannot copy" messages. I find myself having to do combinations of reboots, restarts and plug/unplug things to get it to work properly. On the other hand, drag and drop from my aging Windows-7 laptop seems to work fine every time.
Because the video on the laptop is getting unstable, I am considering installing a Bootcamp or Parallels partition to run some exe files that I need for work. I was wondering if anyone has experience in how drag and drop to an Android device works that way. If it is cleanly functional that would probably solidify my decision to invest in a copy of Windows.
My related question is rooted in pure ignorance but if you are in a Windows partition, can you work with files on the Mac OS drives on the same machine?
Thank for any replies.
