Drag-n-drop delay on Dock

Hey,

I was dragging a photo from Firefox into an app in my dock and noticed that it takes a good few seconds for the drag to register for the app to then open to drop it in.

Is there an option or a way I can change the delay of registering the drag so that as soon as I drag something on top of an app icon (in the dock) it switches to that app immediately?
