Dragging an image into Photoshop CS4. Doesn't always work.

Hi, If I have PS CS4 open but no images loaded and I open a Finder window, I can select one or more JPGs in the finder window and drag them across onto the photoshop window and they are then loaded into photoshop.

Great, just as I'd expect.

Now, if I want to drag another image into PS it won't let me.

It seems I can only drag an image (or images) into photoshop when it currently doesn't have any loaded.

Am I doing something wrong? It works fine on Windows, why should OSX be different?

Is there trick to it?
