Is anybody having issues dragging photos into albums or events? I like to have my pics in event folders. I have an event folder titled " RC Stuff", when I take a photo related to RC I normally drag it into that folder. Now with the new Photos app I can't drag any pics between albums or events. How do I add a pic to an existing album or event?

Thank you!

Photos is terribly implemented so far, I decided to go back to iPhotos and cross my fingers they will fix Photos. There doesn't seem to be a way to create Events or rename Moments, so organizing photos is now a nightmare.

Events has gone. Create Albums now.

Great!

How do I add a photo to an existing album then? I have a folder in Photos called "iPhoto events"

Just figured it out. You can't drag photos. You have to use the "+" button and choose the album you want the picture in.

So, no Events? This is not going to work. I have over a decade of photos sorted by events. I'm not going back and creating albums for everything once again.

All your existing Events will automatically be converted to Albums. There's no need to re-sort them/re-create them - just go into the folder named iPhoto Events; you'll find every Event there.

Every image in those iPhoto Events albums is also found in the Years/Collections/Memories view - you can go to either place to find those images.

You'll find newly-added photos in the Years/Collections/Memories views, rather than in a new Event - Consider it to be a cross between Events and Places.

Consider Albums (and Folders) to be the way you can organize things. Years/Collections/Memories is a default master catalog created by Photos - a tool that will help anyone familiar with Photos locate images, without knowing how any one individual might choose to organize them.

In reality, there was little real difference between Events and Albums in iPhoto. Nearly anything you did with an Event could be done with an Album. There's one key difference from the way I see things - an image could only be in one Event (and must be in an Event), while the same image could (and can) be in multiple Albums.
