Draging problem,please please please help!!!!

Hey,
i'm just some dumn@$$ kid and i know nothing about computers,
but i have a problem i wondered if anyone can help me with...
i have an imac and its like osx.2 of somthing.

and for some reason it won't let me drag icons,now you see when this first happend i let it go because it wasn't that big of a deal,but now there are some items in my trash bin i need to get out.
so is there any way to fix the dragging problem or get those items out of the trash without draging?

Select the item and press + backspace (del)

no i don't need to delete the items i need to get them out of my trash so i can use them.

I don't get it... it doesn't let you drag icons, or it doesn't let you drag anything at all?

For now, try selecting the files in the trash, then choose Edit->Copy from the menus. Then click on the desktop and choose Edit->Paste.
