Hi there i installed dragon age on bootcamp, and everytime i run it, I cant get past the character creation screen. It just freezes and hangs when i choose the race of my character. and my setttings are on LOW!!!!. I have the new macbookpro 13" 4gb ram 2.26 intel core 2 duo, and nvidia geforce 9400m. PLease help, and the ****** part is I got it 2 months ago

dragon age origins keeps freezing on character creation screen

hm i can only offer generic advice, but if you havent already, make sure your windows install is up to date, and also check that your video card drivers and directX are the latest versions.
If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall Dragon Age Origins.
If you video settings are already set to low then I guess its not that, to be honest I can't recall DAO video settings really but if there are any options to turn off effects (as distinct from just low) try that too if you haven't already.
If you're at a complete dead end I'd either reinstall Windows (sigh) or post for advice on the DAO technical assistance thread on the bioware forums. Those people are pretty clever with the tech.

If aki's suggestions don't help out, run an extensive memory test via the OS X boot disk -- at least before reinstalling Windows. Almost every time I've encountered a problem on a Mac, it's been a bad memory module.

your running integrated, i'm 90% sure that you just literally cannot run it, this happened to me when i tried to play Age of Conan on my crappy laptop before i got my current setup. does it go black, start skipping the music track, and then die?
I have uninstalled windows and reinstalled it twice, same with dragon age..and the same problem arises. I installed smc fancontrol and increased the fan speed and it still hangs on character creation screen. sigh* i think ill get the mac version from gametree
