Drawing in notes

Hello,

When drawing in Notes in iOS 11, it seems that whenever I go to erase, it removes the entire stroke rather than just the part I'm trying to erase. Is there a way to change this behavior? It seems to happen on my iPad Air 2 with my finger or my iPad Pro at work with a pencil.
