I'm looking for a way to record a drawing that fades over time for an art project.

I know apps that make fading drawings for iPad (Doodle Finger, Confetti), but none for OSX.

Omnidazzle makes drawings, but they don't fade. HotMouse makes rapidly fading drawings, but they're too laggy to record. Is there a way to hack Omnidazzle to make it fade, or HotMouse to make it less laggy?
