These older models had notoriously bad sound quality, and the build quality isn't what it is today. Best suggestion? Recycle them, and buy the new Solo2's, which have been getting FANTASTIC reviews from audiophiles. Much better build, and much better sounding.

Pretty much any of the new Beats headphones are great these days.

Not sure what to suggest other than glue to be honest. Worth a shot nonetheless?

Regarding replacing them, to be honest I wouldn't be too quick to replace them with other Beats headphones. I've heard many people before saying the build quality isn't exactly great and to be honest you can get headphones with much better build quality / sound quality than Beats for a fair bit less.

Personally I'm quite fond of the Beyerdynamic DT770s but I've also heard good things about the Audio Technica ATH-M50s.
