I want to buy a monitor for hobby color grading, low end professional compositing, and hobby photo work.
I was looking at a plasma or an FSI monitor, but one is too big, the other too expensive.
I want to buy the dreamcolor z24x since it's compatible with YUV via HDMI and I won't need to buy the "band aid" to feed it an HDMI signal, but it has an 8 bit dithered panel rather than the true 10 bit panel on the 2480zx.
I need a rec709 calibrated HDMI input and a calibrated setting for photos for the display port input (I shoot, nothing professional, but as a hobby and generally raw files of my 5D Mark III and drum scans of 4x5) and for vfx compositing (which I do on the very low end professional).
