Hi everyone, I'm a new member here looking for a little insight. I recently got a new MacBook which was a huge upgrade from my Apple G4. Unfortunately I can't afford to upgrade all my software at once. I was using PS 7, Illustrator 10, and Dreamweaver MX. PS still seems to work fine (I don't do anything too complicated) but Illustrator wouldn't install at all. Come to think of it, I don't know if the CD was even recognized.
Dreamweaver installed and seems to work, but I can't FTP using Dreamweaver. When I attempt to upload via Dreamweaver, it closes unexpectedly. I've since donwloaded CyberDuck to upload online.
Other than cost, I'm worried about waiting until the UB versions of these apps are available. Truthfully, I can't do much with Illustrator now but I was hoping to learn. I've also been wanting to upgrade to Dreamweaver 8 for the new features, but I'm not sure it would be worthwhile now; except that I haven't heard for sure that a new Dreamweaver will be released when the CS3 versions of the the Adobe Design suite are released. Has anyone heard either way? And is anyone running Dreamweaver 8 without problems on an Intel mac?
Thanks in advance for any insight you can give me,
John
