Hi again! I checked out an article on TrueCrypt - looks like SL isn't supported yet. But I prefer pay-for solutions that are easier to install and update. Are there any good solutions one could recommend and are supported?

Thanks! :)

Yeah it's annoying TrueCrypt doesn't support whole-disk encryption under Mac, AFAIK. I use it on Windows in this way and it is really great.
I think PGP is probably your best pay-for option, that is if OS X FileVault doesn't suit your needs.

EDIT: If you don't need whole-system encryption then TrueCrypt does work, perhaps the article you were reading was old...

Version 6.3
October 21, 2009
Improvements, bug fixes:
*
Full support for Windows 7.
*
Full support for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Thx much for the info! :)

I'll check out FileVault and PGP... (I do prefer full HD encryption...) I may be a graphic/web designer, but I do carry a lot of intellectual property on the MBP...

PGP Whole Disk Encryption worked fine for me on Leopard, but there's still no working version for Snow Leopard.

TrueCrypt works, but doesn't support WDE on Mac OS X and is pretty damn slow on OS X because it uses MacFUSE.
