drive is telling me it is write protected (windows 7)

i have a hp personal media drive, and it is giving me issues, such as not letting me copy data to and from it. so i decided i would do a fresh format of the drive. well now it wont let me format the drive, its telling me it is write protected.

i looked all over google and tried all the solutions and i havent been successful.

i have no idea what to do.
