Hi everyone,
First off, apologies if this has already been bought up, and I would be happy to be pointed in the right direction to any threads that discuss this. I have searched both the forums and Google but to no avail, it could be that I'm just not using the right words.
Basically, My 2 external 1TB drives (WD ones), lets call them "John" and "Paul" seem to have difficulties holding on to their names.
Say I plus "John" into USB 1, and "Paul" into 2, then say I swap them.
Their names aren't going with them, they are either falling off all together, or changing their names to the other one.
I set the names when I was formatting the drives, but now I can't seem to edit them back. The files on them are intact, and even Time Machine still recognises the one I was using for that, and changed the name of the drive it talks to.
I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.4.
I hope this is enough information for someone to make sense of, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
