I recently wiped and re installed osx 10.5 to a drive that i had in my mac pro. New to Mac as its my work machine which was a hand down from the old network admin. Here is the old thread i started if you want background info
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1531139/
Basically i have a second drive connected internally and a 3rd drive externally both cant be accessed "do not have permission to access"
See attached files i cannot gain access to the drive at all
Owners enabled : no needs to be yes however when i try the gui to change permissions it automatically changes back to custom (i dont know why my account is in there twice)
I try a this command: sudo chown -R weberj:staff /volumes/bay2/ and i get operation not permitted. i am admin and have root access.
I have tried selecting "ignore ownership" that does nothing either.
I also cannot verify disk permissions or repair disk permissions.
